Creating a Loving and Peaceful Atmosphere for Children

No child desires to leave home, no child desires to be an orphan or neglected. Every child wants a home, a loving and peaceful home where both parents are loving and peaceful to each other. No child desires an abusive home, abusive parents or stay in an abusive marriage. Every child desires love. They desire to be loved and feel wanted. To create a loving and peaceful atmosphere for children, we need to take to practice the following;

Show love :
Show love to children, not only your children but to all children you meet. Bring them closer to you, let them see love in you. Don't be hard or stiff with children. Show concern and care. Spend time with them. Give them your attention and a listening ear.

Praise them:
Reward good behaviour. Hug them and give them a thumb up for doing something right or getting things right.

Control your reaction :
When they do something bad, don't hit, yell or use foul language when talking to them.

Let them play:
Children love playing. They get to know their world through experiences and play. Get them toys to play with like, balls, cars or small animals. Playing with toys help develop their senses.

Give them something to do:
Make tasks fun and enjoyable. If it is fun, they will want more tasks.

Read them a book or tell them a story:
Children love stories. Not just any kind of stories or book but stories with pictures. Pictures capture their minds.
