People abuse endearing names.
I find it difficult calling a man; sweetie, dearie, honey and others. I just can't, like he is not my husband or boyfriend then, why the endearment? I can call a girl all those names, but that does not mean we are intimate, but a man? No... How will I even keep my face calling or typing the honey.
Before you give someone an endearing name, make sure you know the status of the person to avoid problems. You may think is insecurity or low self-esteem problem, until you get the beatings of your life from the wife or the husband files a case against you for calling his wife, sweetheart. It may sound very simple and funny but can cause so much problems at home.
