Learning and Character

True education is seen in learning and in character. Good character portrays good education. You don't just go to school to gain knowledge and certificates, school grooms character. You can't say you are educated, yet you can't be;

Polite,

Throws waste on the street, instead of a waste bin.

An educated person must have morals. He must respect his societal norms and values. He must be able to say, "I am sorry." each time he goes wrong. He must not be cocky because he is educated. In fact, education humbles people.

As you pass through school, let the school pass through you too. Learn self control, be discipline, be courteous, be industrious, be calm, don't flame up over little issues. Apart from the home, the school is another place where manners can be learnt. All these things are taught in school. The society is a wider world, where you practice what you have been taught in school, the labour market, that is where you meet all kinds of people. Do you ever wonder why when people misbehave and the first thing they are asked, is the school they attended? Maybe you never thought of that, it is because, a school is a place where people are prepare and trained for the future. After the home, it is always the school. Therefore while in school, learn good manners, cultivate good character. Your certificate will give you a job but your character will tell if you would last long. Your character will take you to places, places where you couldn't find a job. Develop good character, be a model for others. Exhibit the characters of an educated person.
